Job Title: Primary School Cook

Salary:             Grade 2B; SCP 9-13

Hours:             30 hours per week, Term time only (8:00am – 2:00pm)

Start Date:      ASAP

The Governors of Broadoak Primary School wish to appoint a Primary School Cook to join our in-house catering team.  The appointed person will work flexibly within the team in the provision of school lunches across our two on-site kitchens. As the Primary School Cook you will lead the catering team in providing healthy, nutritious meals for the children of Broadoak. Duties will include food preparation, setting up of dining rooms, washing up, serving of food and cleaning. You would be responsible for the cooking and organization of the catering service within school. Providing a healthy school lunch which meets the Governments nutrient-based standards.

We are looking to appoint a flexible individual who uses their initiative and can work well as part of our school catering team. The successful candidate will demonstrate genuine care for the welfare and safeguarding of our children and strive to provide a high-quality service. Previous experience of catering and a relevant catering qualification are essential. The successful candidate will also have Level 2 Food Hygiene training and will need to complete all relevant Safeguarding training in school.

Job Title: Catering General Assistant

Salary:             Grade 1B   SCP 04-05

Hours:             10 hours per week, Term time only 11.30am -1.30pm, Mon-Fri

Start Date:      As soon as possible

The Governors of Broadoak Primary School wish to appoint a highly flexible individual who uses their initiative and can work as part of our in-house catering team. Kitchen duties may include setting up of dining rooms, washing up, serving of food and some basic food preparation. No experience is necessary and training will be provided.

The successful candidate will demonstrate genuine care for the welfare and safeguarding of our children and strive to provide a high-quality service. Previous experience of catering is helpful but not essential. The successful candidate will be expected to complete Level 2 Food Hygiene and all relevant Safeguarding training.
